Freshly hewn slabs are extremely sensitive to environmental conditions and must be kept wet during the process of splitting. The fine craftsmen at PBBS, known as Trimmers, slice the slate block and then cut to size every sign we produce, by hand. They use traditional techniques to create beautiful textures and shapes.
We then take the slate to our cottage facility, utilizing top quality inks which are durable both indoors or outside, and print each sign individually.
